This year has been tough for me. The highlights have all revolved around connections. It’s nice to go back and re-visit those.
Our May trip to the Utah National Parks was filled with upward motion. This is a photo of the switchback “Walter’s Wiggles” on the way up to Angels Landing in Zion. Those little spots of color between the trees are people near the top of the switchback.

I think I exceeded 20,000 steps on each day of this trip!
I was kayaking around the local mill pond in the spring and startled this white heron. I managed to catch its graceful lift-off. .
Our local botanical garden hosted an art in the garden event. These copper plates on posts really caught my eye. They were a unique, warm, metallic addition to an otherwise very organic vista.
