Mr. A and I recently took a trip to Salt Lake City. We went to see a concert, but we also hit the streets and saw a lot of the city and surrounding areas. Our first night there we enjoyed the beautiful display of Christmas lights all around the city and especially in Temple Square.
Our May trip to the Utah National Parks was filled with upward motion. This is a photo of the switchback “Walter’s Wiggles” on the way up to Angels Landing in Zion. Those little spots of color between the trees are people near the top of the switchback.
Props to these random strangers for posing for my photo. 🙂
I think I exceeded 20,000 steps on each day of this trip!
Now she walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams
Seeking grace in every step she takes
Her sight has turned inside herself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake.
(Technically, a beaver pond, but you get the picture. Lyrics from my soul song, Colorado Rocky Mountain High, by John Denver.)
While in San Antonio last spring, I noticed this dapper older man waiting on a bench. He caught my eye, and I snapped a picture. Look at the shine on those shoes!
This is my contribution to the Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge entitled Waiting.
These photos were all taken on Mormon Row in the Tetons. We were lucky to get a beautiful clear day on the first try. On the second it had snowed in the mountains and the clouds were low, but we had to go back and get the iconic Teton barn we missed the first time around. 🙂
Thanks to Cee for another Fun Foto Challenge!
Throwback to last year’s vacation to one of my favorite places.
