Leading lines? Not sure I have the concept down when it comes to nature.

I loved the water droplets on the plants
Focusing on taking these pictures caused me to stop and notice all of the new growth.

The rain let up and I was able to head to the county park to take some nature shots. I’m not sure I have the leading lines idea down when it comes to nature, or at all. I’ve taken these type of shots before just because I liked the way they looked. I think I like the idea of perspective from my art class days. I’ll be looking for leading lines now.   4. I love the lines in the first photo of the stream, the arching branches and the stream itself both draw my eye into the photo. I am a sucker for photos of trails and stairs and bridges, I find half the photos I take on a hike are of the trail itself.

  5. In the second stream shot, my eye moves around more than the first…it seems to better capture the concept….the trail & stairs are great, the eye wants to travel the paths. My favorite, though, is the last shot. My eye loves the angles of the lines & details of the plant then delights in resting in the blurred spaces – does that make sense? I still don’t know how to talk about what I see 🙂

    1. Anything that causes your eye to linger is good. 🙂 What you said about the last shot does make sense. I tend to like to capture these floating images. Lol. When I went back and looked at it just now, I noticed that the blurred lines accentuate the focused one. I don’t think I would have picked up on that without your feedback. Thanks!
